How everything started
It finally got true the long-for fulfillment of the childhood dream to have a Saint Bernard dog to the friend in 1979.
We butted at longer inquiries after known kennels on the Saint Bernard dogs at the mountain Kreuzberg in the Rhön and natural on the kennel with the monks at the Great Bernhard in Switzerland. No pups were born at both at that time.
Chance wanted that we learned in the average Franconian room from a breeder that she completely handed in her dogs after task of her kennel in our proximity.
This was then our first contact to the known Kennel "von Geutenreuth".
As ignorant and inexperienced Saint Bernard dog interested parties, at first we were sceptically eyed by the kennel owner. After several visits and conversations we were allowed choosing our first bitch "Hanni von Geutenreuth" taking home. She was rechristened by us in "Hella".

We had set up a beautiful home for her soon. She gave the whole family a lot of joy. At the exhibition in Nuremberg she got one in the open class "very well". Result satisfying one for us. In addition, we studied many other Saint Bernard dog owners and-exhibitors. We went to the Kennel von Geutenreuth again and again. So it came that the little male "Petro of Geutenreuth" we liked soon and became a comrade to our Hella.
Peppo "Petro von Geutenreuth" Lgh. 40144, gew. 03.02.1982
"Peppo" was called loving by us a name which matched his nature well he. He was represented at an exhibition once, too. We found him so beautiful. He got even a document "without assessment" since no testicles were perceptible. Our first exhibition experiences, what went but impaired the love to our Saint Bernard dogs not a bit so.
Unfortunately, we lost him at a not professional animal medical treatment very early.
We got "Dolly of Geutenreuth" for new pup soon. We found been so many at the dogs and also had sufficient garden area around three dogs stick. Of course the desire was also secretly available have once an own throw in our kennel. The litters A, B and C came from her.

With her we regularly already went to exhibitions now. Club registered association we already had gained quite good experience and our Dolly 1990 in the show competition of the St. Bernhards-Klub won German Champion VDH and most won 1st places, in 1991 and she reached club winners of the St. B.K. for best placings.
After the loss of Peppo our Dolly should not feel alone therefore a visit stood again in the Kennel von Geutenreuth again. A little pup, a bitch, was only quite alone in her cage at that time. This caused enormous sympathy with our youngest daughter. After long hesitation of the breeder ("I cannot give this one to you this isn't a beautiful dog") we were allowed "Franka of Geutenreuth" to take. Her mask was to a panda bear so similarly at that time we called her "Panda".

The first litter adapted in our Kennel St. Kilian on March 7th, 1988. The first-born pup from our litter A, a male, should get the name "Anton zum St.Kilian". One grew fond of him, that was certain quickly, that he should have left with us from the beginning so. He developed also so splendidly, that he was judged "excellently" on exhibitions, as a rule.

From the litter B, at first "Boss zum St.Kilian"stayed with us . Also he accompanied us successfully to several exhibitions, before he found with family Heinrich in Bad Kissingen a new home.

In 1989 we got from Reinhold Welsch our "Tosca von Geutenreuth". She was a quiet dear bitch. From her we had litter D. She loved her existence with us and her kennel comrades.
"Tosca von Geutenreuth" Lgh. 44246, gew. 14.10.1989
From the litter C we kept "Cathinka zum St. Kilian". She was a short hair bitch. She became a very good exhibition bitch with many excellent placings up to the German's champion bitch in 1995.
"Cathinka zum St. Kilian" Kh. 44963, gew. 08.03.1991
From her litter E we chose "Emma zum St Kilian" as a new kennel comrade. A beautiful and wiry short hair bitch. Also she became an excellent exhibition bitch being very often successful.
"Emma zum St. Kilian" Kh. 46218, gew. 19.02.1993
In the meantime, a litter F and G still arose, we got from each of the throws beautiful, all HD-free. From the following litter H "Helena zum St.Kilian" remained in our Kennel Kilian. A successful exhibition bitch, which, however, lived with family in Hegnabrunn for some time and was called Lena before she came back to us for her old days again as well.
Lena "Helena zum St. Kilian" Lgh 48274, gew. 27.09.1995
Within the following years we had another litter I from "Cathinka"and a litter J from "Emma" in our kennel and from "Sally" the litter K . "Sarina von Geutenreuth" simply should bring new blood once.
Sally "Sarina"von Geutenreuth" Kh. 50424, gew. 27.05.1998
Sarina, called Sally, again was a short hair bitch from the litter S from Reinhold Welsch. She grew up well builtly and beautifully. She made a lot of joy and all her exhibition successes could be able to to see. Unfortunately, we got only one pup, but a lovely one, long hair male which we called "Kamillo zum St.Kilian", from her litter K in 2001. He was of an easy, elegant movement and of beautiful fur color. Of course he started with excellent placings from the beginning.
"Kamillo zum St. Kilian" Lgh. 52412, gew. 31.10.2001
Short time after death of our Kamillo we got "Conchita vom Ziemstal" ( from Kamillo zum St. Kilian and Senta vom Gnöd) from breeder Inglof Jahn from Liebengrün. A shorthair female one. We call her "Conny"
"Conchita vom Ziemstal" Kh. 53984, gew. 01.10.2004
Conny should not be alone with us and very soon we got "Gioia da Salacina" from Karin and Gion Alig from Switzerland, a shorthair female one. They both grow up splendid and come along very well together.
